Tamara Spriggs, MD/MPH, is Ohio-born but lived in Virginia the majority of her life. Dr. Spriggs has loved the concept of family medicine since age 17, when she spent a summer at VCU with the family practice faculty. She was a hospice volunteer in medical school and has a special place in her heart for those dealing with end-of-life issues. Well-child exams are the highlight of her office day.

She was a faculty member for the VCU Shenandoah Valley Family Practice Residency Program in Front Royal from 2018 through 2026, after graduating from that residency program in 2010.

She married her college sweetheart and together they raise two fabulous boys in the Shenandoah Valley, and manage a house with a German Shepherd, two spoiled former barn cats, and a fish named Sunshine. Favorite pastimes include trying new cake, bread, and pastry recipes, riding roller coasters, reading a good book on a tropical beach, shopping, and spending time outside.
